A short update of packages and a new area
Answering questions:
I got the package. I didn't have to pay anything for it I think. If I did they didn't tell me. It is already opened and being thoroughly enjoyed. Yes, I can work the belt. You know tons of missionaries have that belt here? It's popular.
I also am enjoying the pipas so much, and the Cola Cao. I've had one cup of it, and it has made my month. Yes, my whole month was made.
Interviews are never stressful. They are always refreshing, and serve as a course correction and spiritual glasses for the future.
I am enjoying my new area, even though it doesn't like me, and my new companion is a great person and a greater missionary. I'm very happy with it all.
We are trying to take an area which has been abused for a long time and "resurrect" it, meaning that we are attempting to make it fruitful. I've already begun to see miracles as we talk to 190 people a week. As we follow the rules and invite the spirit with our desire to represent the Lord and his teachings.
Thanks for the funny. I can still just barely understand why a lot of those are funny.
We have several investigators we've taught that seem very potential. There are many people, it's sad to say, who feel they have no time, need, or ability to listen to, or accept the message we have. There are many who don't believe in change, or worse, don't want to. But then you find that one:
They want to change, they believe they can. They have time to listen, and even as your heart is filled with gratitude that they gave you 15 minutes to share what you cherish, they then express their gratitude that you did so. That is when the spirit truly enters in, and edifies.
I may have a baptism coming up. A 15 year old girl named Jancel seems to be ready, and has a testimony. If she gets interviewed this Saturday, I'll let you know.
I'm seeing things clearer now. I've worked out some things in my life I didn't have straight, and I'm seeing the joy the gospel brings, to me and to others.
Any news on that dictionary? Did you find it? Is it very expensive? If it is, I don't really need it. But if it isn't, it would be nice to have.
That's all for now. I'll write more next week.
